Having previous experience in selling enterprise software products in areas such as drones, IoT, robotics, AI, cloud computing, or other advanced technology sectors will be greatly advantageous. We are building a team of young, motivated, business development leaders who are passionate about building a global drone autonomy software business. As the Business Development Associate, you will play a critical role in driving the growth and expansion of our software platform for the drone industry worldwide. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and shape the future of the commercial drone market.

The team comprises young engineers and designers from top-tier universities such as IIT-B, IIT-KGP, University of Maryland, Georgia Tech, COEP, SRM, KIIT and with deep expertise in drone technology, computer science, electronics, aerospace, and robotics.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Drive monthly and quarterly revenue globally with respective regional account managers (NA, LATAM, EU, APAC, MENA, Oceania)
  • Manage relationships with FlytBase’s global partner and customer network.
  • Create innovative programs for partners and customers.
  • Solve business problem statements of customers/partners using a consultative approach.
  • Creating awareness about Drone Autonomy and helping customers understand the right drone solution for their use case.
  • Qualify & nurture leads from across the world, and convert MQLs to SQLs to paid customers, while tracking conversion rates, timelines, cost of customer acquisition, etc.
  • Build & explain the business case for FlytBase’s offerings via presentations, face-to-face meetings, and trade shows. This will also involve developing and refining sales collateral (eg. presentations, white papers, case studies, and blogs).
  • Work with partners across the world to help them with techno-commercial proposals, tenders, docking station hardware, and enterprise integrations.
  • Track and report key business metrics using tools such as CRMs, mail tracking, conferencing, content sharing, and contract management tools.
  • Analyze the competitive context for FlytBase’s offerings.
  • Leverage business intelligence and analytical tools to track and optimize relevant business metrics.
  • Implement new innovative systems and automate business operations for quicker turnaround times.
  • Provide market and customer insights to product managers and marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with FlytBase’s Customer Success team for customer onboarding, impact, and growth.
  • Last but not least - travel to international trade shows to represent FlytBase’s Global Presence!

  • Can demonstrate a high level of empathy and the ability to understand and relate to the challenges and concerns of customers.
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business. Demonstrate 0+ years of full-time experience in enterprise SaaS marketing and sales.
  • Exhibits a proactive approach to identifying how drones can effectively solve customer problems.
  • Is able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, adapting quickly to meet customer needs and address challenges.
  • Possesses a deep understanding of business metrics, and growth strategies, identifying Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), reducing churn rates, MRR/ARR, and maximizing Customer Lifetime Value (LTV).
  • Possesses the ability to leverage AI technologies to improve business development strategies, automate tasks, and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Can demonstrate strong proficiency in commonly used productivity tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Is willing to be held accountable for lead generation and/or revenue targets.
  • Is available for a full-time role based in Pune
  • Is willing to work evenings and weekends to coordinate across time zones and ensure timely customer interactions.
  • Loves listening to sales podcasts, taking online courses, and reading books to upskill herself/himself.
  • Possess a passion for closing sales and a readiness to provide exceptional customer service on a 24x7 basis.

Compensation:
