Role and Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to expand FlytBase’s market presence.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth and market share.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with the executive team to define and implement the company’s overall business strategy.
- Provide insights and recommendations on market trends, competitive landscapes, and potential areas for innovation.
Partnership Management:
- Build and nurture strategic relationships with key industry partners, customers, and stakeholders.
- Negotiate and structure partnerships that align with FlytBase’s goals and objectives.
Sales Leadership:
- Build, lead, and nurture a high-performing sales team.
- Develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies, with a strong emphasis on achieving sales targets.
Fundraising:
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies to secure the necessary capital for company growth.
- Work closely with the CEO to engage with investors, venture capitalists, and strategic partners to secure funding and strategic alliances.
Financial Oversight:
- Oversee financial planning and resource allocation to support business growth and sales initiatives.
Team Leadership:
- Provide strong leadership to the business development and sales teams, with a particular focus on building and nurturing the sales function.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative culture, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.
Best suited for candidates who
- Proven track record of at least 10 years in business development, strategic partnerships, fundraising, and executive leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of the technology and (preferably) drone industry landscape.
- Extensive experience in working with international customers, partners and stakeholders.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, achieve business targets, successfully secure funding, and build and lead high-performing sales teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, followed by a Master’s degree or extensive experience in business, marketing, or a related field.
